UGC Advisory Regarding Verification of Higher Educational Institutions (Published On: 20/05/2026)
Students are hereby informed that the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam has forwarded a UGC Advisory regarding verification of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to avoid admission into fake or unrecognized universities/institutions.
All students are advised to verify the recognition status of universities/institutions through the official UGC website before taking admission into any Higher Educational Institution.
The advisory has been issued in view of the risks associated with self-styled and unrecognized institutions offering degrees in contravention of the UGC Act, 1956.
Students may visit the official UGC website for details regarding recognized universities and institutions.
